How do I become a member? There are three easy steps you need to take in order to become a member:
- Click on the "Register" or "Join Daily Frappe" link located in the member section of the page. (Second column towards the bottom)
- Fill out the short membership form that pops up, and click on the "Become a Member" link at the bottom of the form
- An automated welcome email will be delivered to your inbox. Click on the link in that email to complete the membership process.
What are the benefits of membership?
As a DAILYFRAPPE.com member, you can participate in a world wide conversation of all things Greek by contributing your own comments throughout the entire DAILYFRAPPE.com site. Your input will guide the conversation. In the future you will be able to post reviews and directly interact with people like you.
Does it cost anything to become a member?
No, membership is free.
Is DAILYFRAPPE.com like MySpace?
No. We'll be adding some OPTIONAL social networking features in the future, but for now, if you want to hang out with 100 million strangers, this isn't the place for you.
Is DAILYFRAPPE.com a dating Web site?
No. Register and join the Daily Frappe community in complete confidence you are entering one of the finest (and stalker free) Greek-centric community Web sites on the Internet. Also, people in church won't point at you if you register. We promise.
How will DAILYFRAPPE.com use the personal information that I provide when becoming a member?
Your privacy is important to us. We will not share your personal information with anyone for any reason.
Do I have to type in my Username and Password every time I visit DAILYFRAPPE.com?
No! We'll remember you after your initial login. To ensure privacy if you login from a public or friends computer, be sure to click the 'Logout' link located in the member section of the page when your are finished viewing.
What do I do if I forget my password?
If you forget your password, click the "Log in" link. Then fill in your email address and click the "Send me my Password?" link. A password reminder will be emailed to you automatically.
What do I do if I want to change my password?
If you would like to change your password, first log in to DAILYFRAPPE.com. Then click the "Edit profile" link in the member section of the page. Click "Password" near the top of the page, fill in your current password and your new password, then click "Change Password." Your new password will be sent to you via email as a reminder, and will take effect immediately.
Why do I need a username?
Your username is the visible identification of you that other users on the site will see when they read your comments on stories, blog posts and other site features, and also when they look at your site profile. You need a unique username so that your contributions to the site will be identified distinctly from the contributions of other users.
How do I change my username?
To change your username you will have to re-register with a different username and email address.
How do I change my email address?
To change your email address:
- First, login to DAILYFRAPPE.com by clicking the Login link in the member section of the page
- Click the "Edit Profile" link in the member section of the page
- Enter in your new email address in the "Email Address" field
- Click the "Update" link at the bottom.
What is a profile?
Your profile is a personal page, editable only by you, that keeps track of your contributions to the site, for example photos you have uploaded and comments you have made on stories and blog posts. Your profile also gives you a way to tell DAILYFRAPPE.com and other readers a little about yourself, upload a personal photo and answer some questions about your news and information interests.
How do I set up my Profile?
To setup your profile:
- First, login to Daily Frappe.com by clicking the "Login" link in the member section of the Home page
- Click the "Profile" link
- Complete the profile form to tell DAILYFRAPPE.com and other readers a little about yourself and upload or select a personal photo. PLEASE NOTE: Only your username, city location, and profile image (if selected) will be visible to other members.
Is my Profile information visible to other members?
Only your username, city location (if entered), and profile image (if uploaded) will be visible to other members. In the future, we may add additional optional profile features. However, you will always be in control of what information you want to share with other members.
How do I access my Profile? To access your profile:
- First, login to DAILYFRAPPE.com by clicking the "Login" link in the member section of the Home page
- Click the "Profile" link
What is my Profile Image?
Your profile image is a personal photo or other graphic that you can upload to personalize your DAILYFRAPPE.com site experience. Other readers will see your profile image alongside any comment posts you contribute on the site.
You can upload a profile image of your own choosing. You can change your profile image at any time by visiting your profile (See "How do I access my profile?" above).
How do I post a comment on a blog or story?
To post a comment on any DAILYFRAPPE.com story page or blog post, you first need to be logged in (see above instructions on logging in). Once you are logged in, you can type your comment in the box provided below each story or blog post and click "Post your Comment". Your comment will display immediately at the top of the list of comments.
Comments cannot be edited once posted and may be filtered for inappropriate language.
What happens to the photos I upload within my Profile?
The photos you upload within your personal profile are stored there and are visible to other users when you post a comment.
