Pursuing a passion can be daunting, particularly when it requires balancing the reality of living outside of Greece, with an overblown love of Greece, by launching a website for Greeks abroad, despite the obvious geography obstacles and demands on personal time. As Kyriakos often says, ‘Our baby needs constant attention.’

But if life was all about being sensible, then great things in this world, such as getting people excited about their Greek heritage, just wouldn't come to be.

After watching Greece’s economic progress in the 1990’s, and its burst onto the world stage as a stunningly successful Olympic host in 2004, we were convinced (and still are) a new, modern, Greece has emerged.


In the Beginning


DailyFrappe.com - a website for Greece Enthusiasts - was born on Easter weekend in 2005. The idea was simply to give people living outside of Greece an easy way to connect with the people, places, and events back in the homeland. We started publishing hand-edited news and events relevant to a global Greek Diaspora audience. A few people read it, liked it, and encouraged us to continue. We haven’t looked back since.

Daily Frappe is a community for the millions of people of Greek decent that are scattered by geography but united by heritage. Whether you are looking to build bridges to the past, or make connections to the future, we encourage you to take a look around our site and tell us what you like, and more importantly, let us know how we can be better.
